World Class Hospitality Starts with UB

The College of Tourism/Hospitality Management of the University of Bohol conducted a two days convention last March 6-7, 2009 at the JJ’s Seafood Village Tagbilaran City.

The welcome address was given by Dr. Lumin Tirol Pamaran Vice President for Academics, UB. Atty. Victoriano B. Tirol Executive Vice President for Administration gave the inspiration message. The convention was participated by five different learning institutions Crystal E, Systems Technology Institute (STI), Holy Name University, Mater Dei College Tubigon, and UB. There were four resource speakers. The first speaker the topic World Class Service Management was Ginalyn Gocotano Landiza, Guest Manager and OIC front Office Cebu City Marriott. The second speaker the topic World Class Bartending was Eldrin Tio Demaisip, Bar Captain, Cebu City Marriott. The third speaker the topic Personality My Edge Over Others was Fiel Angeli E. Araoarao-Gabin, City Information Officer. And the fourth speaker the topic Opportunities Abroad-Up for Grabs! was Romulo L. Tagaan, Head BEPO.

The College of Tourism/Hospitality Management, has always been aggressive in comprehensive program and training in the hospitality arena, develop quick and effective decision-making skills and enhance human relations ability. The convention was program with a purpose to develop understanding of both front room and front office procedures, enhanced by a working knowledge of the kitchen preparation process, organization methods and technique, and other essential behind-the-scenes operations. But it doesn’t just stop their the College of Tourism/Hospitality Management will broaden more its world class quality teachings for every students guided and taught by instructors who have the passion and professional experience in the field.
