The University of Bohol recently hosted the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) regional forum on the new Manual of Regulations for Private Higher Education and the 3rd Central Visayas School Registrar’s Association (CEVISRA) regional consultative assembly last July 9-10, 2009 at the Institutional Research Center (IRC) of the university.
The forum which was participated in by the deans and school registrars from private higher education institutions in the region is focused on the highlights of the new manual of regulations as embodied in CHED Memorandum Order 40, series of 2008. Dr. Amelia A. Biglete, CHED director, Region VII was the keynote speaker. Other resource speakers include Atty. Julito D. Vitriolo, Executive Director, CHED; Charlie V. Calimlim, OIC-Director III, CHED; and Atty. Ulpiano “Ulan” Sarmiento, ESQ., education lawyer. On the same development, the school registrars and assistant registrars from private higher education institutions in Region VII also conducted their annual workshop on Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS).
UB President David B. Tirol, the incumbent regional president of the Regional Association of Higher Education Institutions (RAHEI 7), Region VII, welcomed the guests and participants of the regional gathering.
The theme of the regional forum is “Quality functions for quality service “.
