Consistent with its thrust for quality education at all levels and at all costs, the Caregiver Program of the University of Bohol, College of Allied Medical Sciences proved its academic competence when 10 out of its 10 examinees passed the recent Competency Assessment Examination for Caregiving National Certificate II, given by the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) last May 30, 2011 at St. Martha Skills Training and Assessment Center, Tagbilaran City.
Dr. Jeimylo C. de Castro, dean, College of Physical Therapy, disclosed the names of the new holders of Caregiving National Certificate II as, Jellica Joy M. Caoyonan, Ma. Angela N. Castillo, Ritchel O. Dela Serna, Concepcion P. Mesagrande, Mary Joy M. Migraso, Jasmine P. Ocoy, Sheena D. Ras, Therese S. Simo, Michelle O. Tupas and Adora V. Tuyor.
In an interview, de Castro confided that the consistent 100% passing percentage of the university is attributed to the school’s highly qualified instructors, adequate and modern facilities and work exposures of the students.
To note, the University of Bohol is the only school in the province that offers a caregiver program in a university level category. Under this level, the students aside from the usual classroom discussions can also avail of the medical/dental services, fully air-conditioned lecture rooms, complete library, equipped instructional media center , efficient internet centers and students services wherein the students have their assigned guidance counselors. The school also have specialized training centers for the practicum to include, University of Bohol Medical Rehabilitation Center, IMAP Lying-in Center for Obstetrics and Pediatrics, Ramiro Community Hospital for in-patient exposure and Soledad Suites for hotel exposure, and home care.
