The University of Bohol College of Tourism/Hospitality Management (T/HM) will have its 16th college day’s celebration on August 21 to 22, 2009 at the university gymnasium and quadrangle.
Dean Ma. Asuncion Laxa-Bersabal disclosed that this year’s celebration will focus on the revival of boholano culture, particularly in games and in literary -musical competition. Aside from the usual sportsfest, the college will include the native games such as: maring-maring, bato-lata, sato, birahanay, tagoanay, tubig-tubig, bagol-bagol, litik, julinay and bihaganay. In the literary- musical contest the students will compete in harana, balak, drama-drama and sabay.
Leading the preparation of the activity is the student government of T/HM composed of Julius Genita, governor. Kelly Ian Vestil, vice governor, Steffani Marie Cagampang, secretary, Maritess Jaictin, treasurer, Nicolas Andrei Bunao, auditor, and board members Jennifer Abucejo, Daryl Balbuena, Wilnet Ryan Bersabe, Desiree Bongcahig, Gaudencio Galleros, Kim Garcia, James Michael Ramayla, Renato Salomon and Joy Shermae Serafico.
