Three separate batches of alumni from the University of Bohol College of Nursing (UBCN) recently held separate reunions and homecomings at their Alma Mater last week.
Batch 1980
The members of Class l980 led by its past president Loay Mayor Rosemarie L. Imboy and newly elected president Toto Jabonillo successfully held a class reunion from July 6 to 8, 2011 which kicked-off with a thanksgiving mass held at the UB Nursing Skills Laboratory. After a courtesy call with the school administrators, the class members held an election of new set of officers which was followed by a pool side Luau party at JJ’s Seafood Village. Last July 7, the group hosted a gala night and induction of officers at Bohol Tropics Resort. In the following day, the group proceeded to Carmen town for a medical clinic before going to the world famous chocolate hills and Loboc river cruise.
Batch 1986
With the by-word, Nurse nga Bol-anon da best! , the proud members of the White Hygieans Class ’86 held a 3-day activity last July 7 to 9, 2011 to rekindle the camaraderie as former nursing students of the university. Started with a Eucharistic celebration at the Information Research Center (IRC) auditorium, the batch members held an introductory program with UB President Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. and Dean Isabelita G. Margate as guests. During the ceremony, the official roster of the class was read by Ms. Jesuah Retutas-Villamor, class president, followed by the awarding of White Hygieans Class ’86 project to the school.
On the second day, the class conducted a community service at Tinibgan, Maribojoc by distributing goods to selected families. In the evening of the same day, a gala night took place at the Metrocentre Hotel. Meanwhile on the third and last day of the homecoming, the batch members with their families celebrated a family day at Dumaluan Beach Resort, Panglao, Bohol.

Batch 1991
For 20 years after leaving the portals of their Alma Mater, the members of class 1991 of the University of Bohol College of Nursing gathered once again to reminisce the memories shared while they were in college.
Tagged as White Youvellians, the batch members formally commenced their 20th year reunion last July 8, 2011 with a holy mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Kiking Magdoza. After a lunch at Metrocentre Hotel, a brief campus tour ensued early afternoon while a gala night took place at the Metro Centre Hotel.
On the second day, the batch members and their families were treated to a family day at Dumaluan Beach Resort which was followed by a provincial tour in the last day. (L.A.Boncales/Michalle Guillena)
